dissertation Ideas

Hey Lads
Just wondering if anyone can help
I am doing a Business degree and have to do a dissertation over the next two years.:eek:
I work in a big business but I have no ideas on what to do the dissertation on.
I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with any ideas to do the dissertation on i.e. employee turnover etc.

I don't even know what a dissertation. But this is the Entrepreneurial & Business Management forum. I think your looking for the I'm Still In School & Have Homework forum. It's probably under Edu.

Harnessing the energy of entrepreneurial members of a large organisation for the good of the organisation and the individual.

Kemmy Business School in UL were a great source of help etc...

This needs careful consideration....especially from your own perspective and how the subject/area choice may impact upon you and your career. In short, the topic should be an area of the business that makes an imapct or a difference in some shape or form.

To that end look at your role and the part that your team plays in the organisation (sales, marketing, finance, IT etc.). Is there a particular problem that's consistently there...maybe its overlapping several roles or areas and not falling into anyone area. Can you improve on this to make it better and improve a service, the quality of information maybe or how the company can attract new customers that it hasn't thought about?

One area that is impacting on all teams is green business and how the commercial environment can be more aware of the environment. Can you look at an approach that takes account of this and may bring a marketing beneift to the company? For example, a scorecard for the company's green initiatives to assess their green performance and put it up on the website.

EDIT: I can tell you now, I've never heard "dissertation" mentioned in school, that's generally what happens in third level, no ? Then again, I never liked the academic side of school or paid that much attention to it.
