My hair and scalp are being destroyed by constant wearing of helmet. Anybody out there got any solutions to the constant fuzziness and irritation?

I don't find the helmet particularly bad for my hair, I usually wear a cap as well under the helmet and tie my hair up for proper spins.

Just use nice L'Oreal Shampoo, Dirk would recommend the Pink one

    I prefer the Orange one

I'm order a cycling cap off CRC to see if it helps. At lights today tryig to fit my finger in through helmet to scratch. It's pretty thick (hair) and I don't brush it, maybe I should start.

    What conditioner Dirk?

How did I know that somehow my name would pop up in this thread before I clicked it. Why not ask one of the forums many ladies?? In case anyone hasn't met me, no I am not a lady.

I just don't wear a helmet commuting. On spins I find the cap helps a bit, keeps everything tidy and helps minimize itchiness.

@Caroline: Shhh! You're not meant to tell anyone about that!

They are asking one of the ladies

from the words of Aerosmith "Dude looks like a lady"

Not to be a smartass here, but I figured the ladies would answer first, as they would have vaster experience of it. There was also a presumption I was a bloke (Harry can be short for Harriet)???? But seen as there is another bloke here with long hair and taking into consideration the differences between the hair of both sexes why not ask another male if the same issue arises.

    I start like this

    and end up like this

Don't worry, I was only kidding! I wasn't going to click the thread but I knew one of team Kaiku would mention me. I'm shocked it was Astramonti, I think he is looking for a way onto the team (hint: needs more pink).

I think a "Blorgfro" is best tamed with no helmet at all.

When I cycle, I don't wear a lid, but on my 'ped, I gotta wear a helmet.. Looks like I've straightened my hair every time!

Long hair + 2 wheels = Ghey hair!

Seriously tempted to shave it all off again!

get a hair cut, the heat and sweat is causing the annoyance, if you dont want to get it chopped, use a menthol based shampoo, it will make your head feel cooler, but get it cut, you will be lighter aswell, so make the switch and save 20%
