im sorry of i came accross as tedious or annoying , i actually wasnt trying to be little some bikes , just some companys and how they operate , and i was never looking to try rob business , sincerely i wasnt regardless what people may say

just some things irritate me and i go over board , so please no smart comments and just accept the apology in good faith and promise i wont be tedious etc anymore

Why not? SUrley If Its compeditive its a good thing?, You have a decent market here who spend $$ regular. Id nearly say it would be worth your while to offer discounts etc and pay the boards owners whatever they need to the priveledge?




PS. I dont think you needed to apologise, everybody has a point and yours are quite valid.

id obviously offer discounts to bulk buys etc

As it happens, I've no idea who you are, but from other posts you're 'connected' some how.

From some of your posts that I've seen and this is a personal opinion, it's not so much what you have to say, as how you say it, 'FFS, listen mate' (mangled quote for effect).

can't really put up specials as we supply all of the shops in ireland , so if i put up specials and the found out it wouldnt be good business

we are very cheap on items anyway

just pm and i can get you a good price

better if theres a few of the same item etc

Your shop has a good rep here. Theres zero need to pimp it. Defend local bikes shops all you want, but perhaps with less drama. If you want to push the shop do it via the mods.

On a serious note Humphries are excellent wheel builders would only use them or Dave Kane in Belfast for this.

You came on here to smooth things out and that is ok.

I like the ambiance of the Cycling forum. People are helpful, and if they are a bit sarcastic, or have "in" jokes with people they know it's all part of the fun.

I'm a refugee from the poker forum. That forum has suffered from excessive criticism by some posters. The result is many don't bother to post. There are less threads opened.

The cycling forum is healthy. Keep posting.

Quite magnanimous. Thank you. IMHO, I think that if you call an opinion just that (not fact), back your facts up and cease the hard sell on the dads bike shop, then folks will not have an issue with you. This place is a braod church and hopefully will stay that way. I mean even Kona is welcomed.

I presume you were told to apologise? Didnt think you needed to after reading that LIDL thread. You got stuck in a corner and it went on from there.

I wouldnt get involved in such issues, I'm on hear to dispense any advice I can, get some tips and sell a few bits and pieces. These boards can be a bit cliquey with the same guys on each thread. Looked like the same guys were giving you a bit of stick for what you said. Never mind lets just enjoy the world of cycling!
