My son's 12" Specialized Hotrock has a rear coaster brake and a front lever brake, and was bought from Cycleways in Parnell St. I think Specialized do girls versions, and larger versions, but I don't know whether CW stock them.

There's a guy selling Dutch bikes at Dun Laoghaire market on Sundays in the Peoples Pk - he might have what you're looking for

BTW I've no connection with him

I fell hopelessly in love with the 3 speed ladies Amsterdam electra in blue recently. I think it was either the original or the classic and it had a back pedal break which was cool. I was going to get one but I was a little confused by the sizing.....

In what way? what size are you? the amsterdam is a gorgeous bike, lots of detail. The way they are designed promotes a relaxed ride.

    The reviews are great:
Ohh its a lovely colour and the big fender on the back is great for stopping mud and things hitting my shopping. It has gone down really well at the WI meetings and i have had some admiring glances from young men! I feel 20 years younger. The pedals are really well sorted out and they accomodate my feet with ease. I the bell is quite audible which is important on roads and makes children laugh when they see me go past and wave. BEAT THE CREDIT CRUNCH ladies and ride a lovely bike like mine. Well i am off now to make a lovely fruit cake for the raffle and to feed the little signets in the local pond we have had so many this year, and i know how i will be getting there on my lovely Electra bike, even my cats seem to like it as i once caught one sleeping on the lovely leather saddle, and he is fussy were he sleeps i called him Mr Stubbs after my late husband. They are so helpful on the telephone aswell and helped me get the correct bike, and even helped me to order it online! I will be sending Chain Reaction a Christmas card and getting all my friends to sign it. Good bye now and thankyou for looking at my review, take care now Edith.
hello. it is only edith again. i`ve just riden home from my WI meeting on my lovely blue bike. whilst i was cruising through the park, i noticed one of the signets had died. i am so sad. my late husband and i used to love feeding the ducks. however, they obviously were not used to rich fruit cake. i have named one of the signets `Dave` after dave from chain reaction cycles. he was so helpful on the phone. what a lovely man, if only i were 40 years younger. well, must go as i need to feed mr stubbs and water my tomatoes. have you had many this year? my crop has been marvellous mrs stubbs

Yes they are one size only but they are all adjustable, unless you are extremely big or small, they are fine. They would be around the 18" mark.

They are fine bikes, but make sure you get them assembled by somebody with experience, they are difficult and fiddley with all the extras.

They are overpriced IMO, but they fit a niche market so thats why you pay a premium. I bought my girlfriend a Hawaii recently.

Ah no, I love the Amsterdam, I'll just have to resist the urge to start baking fruit cakes and naming the swans in the canal :)
