    Download the form and send it in with the original receipt.

    you should find the "application form" link down the page.

    Is there a minimum amount I have had to spend in other to qualify for tax relief. Can i get it for just the course fee or can I claim for the exam fee also?

    Here is a link explaining all of the revenue site. At a quick glance the first 2k is disregarded for any claims.

    If you paid for 1 years tuition, put down 1 year. And then when you pay your fees next year, put that year down.

    This is what Revenue say in their leaflet http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/leaflets/it31.html

    Approved Undergraduate Courses

    Undergraduate courses must:

    * be carried out in an approved college;
    * be of at least 2 academic years duration; and
    * in the case of courses carried out in colleges and institutions that require approval by the Department of Education and Skills for the purposes of this tax relief, the course must be approved by that Department.

    Approved Postgraduate Courses

    Postgraduate courses must:

    * be carried out in an approved college;
    * be of at least 1 academic year but no more than 4 academic years in duration; and
    * lead to a postgraduate award based on either a thesis or an examination.

    I don't believe courses leading to professional exams qualify.

    Yes I've done it and got refund, fill in form as appears obvious with whatever duration is e.g. 4months, 4 days, 1 year or whatever as applicable.

    For course put Assoc of Chartered Certified Accounts and subject.

    For year you can write 2012/2012 for a course started and finished in 2012 even if it was during academic year 2011/2012 (e.g. Feb-Jun) or in academic year 2012/2013 (e.g. Aug-Dec) I did this for a Feb-Jun course I did in 2010 and put 2010/2010 without any difficulty (I wanted to make sure they looked at the tax year 2010 and not 2009 in my case as I hadnt paid tax in 2009 on which to get a refund.)

    If you want more help PM me! :-)

    Is that "disregarded" clause a recent addition?
