    Hi Guys,
I'm a freelance writer looking to branch out into the newspapers and magazines. Basically, I was wondering if any of the experienced freelancers and journalists have any good tips for which magazines to pitch.

    Which magazines use freelancers more?

Any responses appreciated as I feel like I'm pitching ideas into a black hole!

    Hi!

I don't have much to offer but a bit of support.

It's a bloody difficult business especially if you don't have connections as thats pretty much how it seems to work.

My only advice is to target magazines that you may have a special knowledge in, your speciality.

Also ring up the editor of the section etc. Try build some relationships!

Hope things go well for you.

    Thanks R.D.

I know - unfortunately my specialty is technology, current affairs, culture and the likes.

Technology magazines are few in number in Ireland and are hard to pitch in England.

    Anyone have any ideas??
