    any Ideas why classes begin before continuing tsm student reg begins?

    Probably not enough time during freshers week. It doesn't really matter when you register. Your current student card is valid till the end of October.

    The times are more for crowd management reasons I think.

    I have a quick question and didnt feel it worth starting a thread over because im sure it will be answered in one or two replies and the title of this thread seemed the closest relevant one I could find.

    Did TCD give out welcome packs at the start of the term? UCD students all get USB memory sticks in their welcome packs, do TCD students get one too? I have a few but it would be handy to have a TCD one just to keep my college stuff on.

    if you signed up to the students union at their big stand in the middle of front square on freshers week you got a pack, not much useful in other than (more) chocolate condoms though

    UCD students got pretty much the exact same welcome packs as you lot. We got the USB drive on completion of an IT induction course, wasnt given out automatically.
