    Hi

Just thought that for the benefit of people getting to grips with freeview, it might be useful for people to report any changes in freeview reception from Preseli.

Last night there were some dropouts due to atomospheric conditions, but signal strength has now improved.

Given the immense interest in this thread it would be really useful if those in ROI once they get to grips with Freeview post:

    a) Approximate location

    b) Type of aerial, a picture says a 1000 words if you have a camera!

    c) Signal strength and quality. The more interesting receivers such as the Philips DTR 220 etc also give you the C/N ratio and the BER ( I note with interest these are now sold out on several big UK web sites)

    d) Any problems.

This enables a very comprehensive picture to be built up. Later a similar thread can be set up for Arfon. Very good idea Marclt!

    Location: North Wexford

    Aerial Type: http://yfrog.com/eatvaerialukddtj

The aerial was professionally installed 3 years ago to try to improve the dreadful digital signal we were receiving. More often than not, I was never able to pick up a usable digital signal, until now.

Reception: Typical values for Channels 43, 46, 50
    Strength: 55-70%
    Quality: 92-98%

    Set-Top Box: Sagem DV3? (about 3 years old) http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41SMQR35M1L._SS500_.jpg

Problems: None - apart from the drop-out last night (Monday)
