Setting up new Society

    Myself and a few others at work are going to set up a new golf society in the new year. I was wondering if anyone knows the new set up with the GUI. If we register the society with the GUI are we entitled to an official handicap from the GUI?

    No. Registering a Society with the GUI only shows you are planning to run it properly, and to the laws of the game etc.
    Only fully affiliated Golf Clubs can issue official handicaps.

    PS. You don't HAVE to register a society.
