I'm having a bit of an internal debate at the moment and would appreciate the views of others to help to choose the best course of action!

When preparing for a marathon and doing your long runs, do you think it's most beneficial to:

    a) Do you long run at a pace slightly below your desired marathon pace?

    b) Do your long run at your desired race pace?

or C) Do your long run at pace greater than your desired race pace?

This years Dublin Marathon will be my 3rd marathon and I'm hoping to run a PB of 3:30. Also as i'm only running 3 days a week, I have plenty of time to recover from my long runs.

I'd be very interested to hear others own personal experiences of the above?

    Thanks a million!!!:pac:
