    Hi,

I wonder if anyone could advise me on the following.
I have Sky + in front room and normal Sky multiroom in back room. I was thinking of getting Sky HD for the €24.50 offer that Sky have on now and would like to move my Sky + box to the room at back of house.
Do you know if the 'free installation' offer would cover this as I already have multiroom, but only one cable going to back of house? Dish is on chimney.
Also, Sky dish is about 9 years old and signal on connection 1 of Sky + box is pretty poor (strength 20-30, although quality 50-80, but fluctuates all the time) and sometimes drops altogether. Would installation include recabling this also?

I am expecting a No to most of my questions above, so would also be interested to hear from any installers that could quote me for this, perhaps even to get a new dish and recable front and back. Please PM me if so.

    Thanks.

As you are an exsisting customer, You cannot avail of the €24.50 offer.

It will cost you €49 for the box and there is no free installation either, it will cost you €50 for the install. As per weather the engineer would re-locate the hd box for you I would imagine it would be highly unlikely he would run the second cable so my advise would be to tell him that you want the hd box where the standard box currently therefore the second cable has to be run and simply swap the boxes afterwards thay way it would cost you €99 for the complete job...a bargain in my opinion...

Thanks Steveon. I'd misread the small print on 24.50 price.
Thanks for the advice on saying HD going in back room to get the additional cable run down but I've a problem with the signal on one of the cables in the front room so I think I really need a cable run down front and back.
On the site http://www.sky.com/portal/site/ireland/products/equipment/hd it clearly says Installation Free with Multiroom, so I thought I should just have to pay for the box - but given I want extra cabling, would be happy to pay the extra €50 if that was a fair price.
Am I better to ring Sky and order and then talk to engineer when he rings to arrange install or should I go via a local installer? Would actually prefer to arrange with installer directly if anyone could recommend someone (Northside Dublin).
    Thanks.
