Channel 4 HD Signal Quality Problem

Signal strength is a steady 88% (11798H, 29500, 3/4 DVB-2 QPSK) but quality is bouncing from 80% to 55% as a result channel is unwatchable due to constant freezing. I have changed lnb and tried to adjust my Triax 80cm dish but no luck so far, I am using Clarke Tech 5000C combo with freesat from sky card. Any help greatly appreciated.

I've had the same problem for some time now also on a clarke tech 5000c. Posted it on another tread before and also on a british forum where people had the same. Nobody came up with the answer. Hopefully someone has come up with a solution since.

Yes, at the start of the summer I had perfect C4 HD. The quality has steadily degraded now to the point where the break up just annoys me and I have to switch to C4 SD. This is an important frequency that has Sky Sports 1 on it as well. No idea what the problem is but I would suggest it is in fact bad alignment in most cases. Even the slightest of bad alignment can cause issues particularly on this TP.
The only light at the end of the tunnel is C4 want their HD variant on Astra 2D to keep the channel restricted from viewers abroad.
There is a test channel called 6945 that is showing BBC HD. Could this eventually be C4 HD?.
    I suppose time will tell.

I don't think it's bad alignment, I can plug a sky+ HD box into same cables and every transponder is faultless. Have a read from this forum, courtesy of Fredd.

Some tuners are better than others and can lock on where another won't.
I don't have a Clarke tech, I have a DM800 and this frequency has shown continuing degradation. It is clearly an attempt to limit the reach of the TP considering at the moment, C4 HD is present and they want to get it on Astra 2d and Sky Sports 1, the most premium of all channels is also on there.
So any problem be it slightly weaker tuner to very slightly off alignment can lead to this.

yes, very good point, but just to add, I have an mVision HD-200 with modified firmware (thanks slegs) and all transponders are up and running, Channel 4HD is showing 86% strength and 98% quality so I guess maybe it is tuner problem with Clarke - Tech.

Just noticed a further 2-3% drop in signal, I thought this would get better when some light foliage disappeared but alas it hasn't.
It's a problematic frequency for me thats for sure.

yes it is but a sky box can't pick it up.
29500 cannot be received on a Sky Digibox
