I had a plumber call to my house 4 times.
1st time he took out 3 toliets & 3 sinks so the tiler could tile.
2nd time he put 2 of them back in.
3rd time he put the last set back in.
4th time he put up a shower door and plumbed the dishwasher + washing machine.

Each time he spent about 2 hours in the house. The last time he spent 4 hours.

    He charged E850.

    Have i been done???

    Thanks

No, you have not but no doubt that someone will say you have been so I will give you the breakdown of how i figure it.

To take out one bathroom suite and put one back in is 350 euro

to put in a shower door is 100 - 150 euro, a quad is 150 and requires a second person ususally the homeowner.

    He also done extra work

out of honest curiosity what do you think he should have charged?

To be honest - I had literally no idea how much I should be charged, I just wanted to make sure that was an average price, I couldn't see how it would come to that, but your breakdown makes sense. Thanks a million for your response.

Being involved in a fair bit of building houses to a builders finish where very typically the buyer would look for our plumber to remove the toilets & basin again for tiling. They would be paying but typically the plumber would take a couple of hours removing the stuff and best part of a day refitting. These would typically be 4 toilet houses. He is an excellent plumber and never any come back with him and he charges about 400 for this. (mayo prices)

I agree with joeys price if taking out a bathroom suite and replacing it with a new one but simply removing the toilet & wash basin and perhaps a rad and pulling shower unit away from wall alittle and sticking them on again is a different job and very little effort involved.

Took out 3 suites and put up a shower door. Its not my price its what plumbers working for me quoted. I had 3 plumbers.

I dont mind if this turns into an "I can do it cheaper" situation. I am just advising the op that based on the plumbers I used this pricing is normal.
