Chinese stock markets - buying shares

    Can anyone tell me if it is possible that you can buy shares in the Shenzen or Shanghai stock exchanges through irish online or international online stock brokers???:confused:

    Not allowed.

    You can invest through a fund though. Just not allowed hold them directly.

    Best you can do is hong kong

    p.s as far as I can remember chinese locals have restrictions set upon them meaning the prices in mainland china are usually higher than in hong kong.
