UPC: Stuttering sound and picture, Ringsend

Have had problems with stuttering sound and picture on digital tv with UPC here in Ringsend. Anyone else has these problems in this area? Could it be the cable leading out from my window that needs to be changed? Would a booster help? Or could it be the set-top box?

I have just ordered the 10 mbit broadband now and worried that it will act up as well. How is the bb connected - to the back of the set-top box or to the second coax connection on the window sill (yes I have the incoming line there)?

I have the same problem ... I actually logged on just now to post about it..

I'm based in Dundrum, but had the same problem when the same box was used in Christchurch. To be honest I think it's the box rather then the signal - seems to happen more when it's recording, or time-shifting.

Anyone else experiencing this, or better yet, anyone solved this?

Got this fixed when they installed a new drop cable for bb/voip services this week. The old cable was really old. The installer said that the colleague of his who had installed digital TV for me 6 months ago should have checked the status of the feed cable and changed it. Anyways, enjoying crisp tv picture and 10 mbit bb now! Getting 9.5-10.02 mbit download on speedtest.. .80 to .95 upload.
