    hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on the home ec course. I have a degree in food science its recognised to teach food technology up north and in UK. How could i become eligible to teach home ec without doing the whole degree?

Well the Home Ec course is in St.Angela's College not in Sligo IT. I know that last year we had a girl in our class who had qualified in the UK but was doing 2nd year textiles in order to top up her degree to teach over here. I'm sure if you got in touch with the college they'll be able to let you know what is required, hopefully you wouldn't have to do the whole degree as its a tough course!
