This is a brand new night from ChoiceCuts DJs Scope and Handsome Paddy, located in the unique environs of Lower Leeson Street, we reckon there is no venue quite like The Sugar Club. The side bar, tables, stage and big screen coupled with ample smoking area all bode to a crackin night out for you and your friends.

In the past we have had some of our best live shows and club nights take place there; The Breakestra, The Headhunters, Blowfly, Quantic & His Combo Barbaro, Marva Whitney, Sweet Charles, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, DJ Krush, D Styles, Rob Swift, Osaka Monaurail, The New mastersounds, The Rebirth the list goes on

As we like to take care of our likeminded music fans we have decided to anchor ship on the last friday of the month and set up a new club with records, efx and visuals..this will all go from 11pm until 3am and its all completely free.

The music policy will be embeded in soul of all styles from hip hop to funk, disco to house, reggae to dubstep, rock to obscurities. With their signature dj styles, Scope & Paddy will weave in and out of genres for you dancing and listening pleasure. Whether you want to hang out and drink and listen to music in a cool venue or dance your socks off til the early hours, we reckon this night has it all.

The vibe we are going for on Creme de la Creme is open with no rules aside from making you feel good, putting you onto new musicyou may not have heard before and harping back to forgotten classics etc..

Anyone who may have a birthday can get preferential treatment, and if you are thinking of heading out you can email us to discuss groups gaining entry and booking seats in advance.

Expect to hear the likes of Talking Heads, Mos Def, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Kenny Dope, Quantic, JDilla, Madlib, Rick James, ESG, A Tribe Called Quest, Lee Scratch Perry, James Brown, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Chic, Major Lazer, Notorious BIG, Azymuth, Fela Kuti, De La Soul, Edan and loads more…

    Pre:seed

As DJ-ing, its culture and tools of choice have changed, there is still one fundamental thing that separates the men from the boys, and that’s their record collections. From years of digging and hunting down records (often crates at a time) - at home, abroad and more recently through the internet - Tu-ki has used part of his artillery to create Pre: seed – a mixtape (available on CD) that pays particular homage to old skool electro and hip-hop, much of which lay the foundations (and samples) to an emerging rave and dance scene - which are also represented on this 80 minute voyage.

Tu-ki’s ambition to represent his influences from over the years, as well as what he sees to be landmark moments in modern music, are encapsulated within Pre:seed – a mix that also contains many rare pressings and sought after releases. In an age where the mixtape has often been forgotten in favour of low quality mp3 link downloads, Pre:seed reminds us of the work, thought and technical ability that may have seemed more important in the ‘old’ days, but which are now more vital than ever. While Pre:seed is also an ode and sign of respect to the flagging record shop, it’s more importantly a killer mixtape that you have to hear.
