Toyota Corrolla keeps dropping reves

I have a 2005 Toyota Corrolla T3 (the English version of the Luna), the car keeps dropping reves.

When I get the biting point the reves just drop (to the point where the car is close to cutting out), even though I have not moved my feet off the clutch or the accelerator. I am not the only person who has noticed this with my car so I can not put it down to bad driving.

I have contacted a few Toyota garages & they dont seem to know what is wrong with it. Any advice on what could be wrong with it and how to fix it?

    Is it petrol or diesel?

Had a similar problem with a fiesta I used to have, turned out to be some valve in it that had become blocked up or something, cant remember exactly sorry.

Did any of the garages you went to do a diagnostic?

yeah common problem with the idle valve sticking on them, just get it removed and see if it turns freely or not, thats your prob.
