    Cheers!

    http://www.lightforce.com/products/portable-systems

There are some examples of the roof mounted systems

On the camo front it really depends on what exactly you are after. I have recently bought a drake waterfowl parka for wildfowling and it was worht every penny of the 250 euro it cost me but it may not be worth that to you

Thanks alot for that, cant wait to get a decent lamp going..

ah my camo doesn't really have to be anything special, this is only my 1st year at the stalking and stuff so after paying big money for a gun then and buying 2 new dogs this year i dont want to be spending crazy yo yo's on the camo gear!!

Lost me feckin knife then too last weekend to make things worse, must get new knife now too.. The joys of it!!!:D

Do any of you know of any good deals online for camo gear?

I dont really want to spend a fortune camo gear, once its waterproof and breathable and got good camo.

At the minute i'm using an old DPM army jacket and a scrim net for trying to get grey crows and magpies but them Magpies still get the better of me every time
I reckon i'm gonna have to get some proper camo gear to fool them.

Do any of you's camo up the rifle at all?

Was recently chatting to my local fishing tackle dealer.
Sells ammo and camo etc, Has serious gear for 200-250. Man said to him 'god how can you charge that for a jacket:eek:??'. Dealer said whats your gun worth? Man goes 'its a berreta, cost me 2500'. Dealer said i gaurentee id shoot more ducks with my Baikel that cost under a grand because im wearing that gear:)

I only have cheap stuff, nothing expensive but id say if your stalking deer or shooting a lot of ducks and geese it would be worth it to pay more

Cammo scrim net off Ebay and elastic bands out of the 2 Euro shop are your friends.

bougght some camo gear in the states in cabelas and bass pro, for next to nothing 2 years ago stalking jacket 5 layers of insulation pants the same 70 notes real tree camp looks class very convincing and good in the field mind you only when its cold, very warm also has scent lock, last year got a lghter top and pants more autmn shades in real tree again paid about 70 euro again very happy with it i must say, saying that i have mossy oak stuff i got for 10 dollars in an army store, if you get to the states bring an extra bag if you know someone there (in the states) get it shipped to them and then on to you by the post office dhl charge 120 dollars for 7 pound of kit, find it a bit pricey here, with the price of flights thes days you could nearly save money if you got enough kit. oh yeah both waterproof and breathable but you can get tablets to put in the wash with your clothes to make em waterproof

not 100% on this but i was told that it is illegal to use a fixed light in this country , worth checking out for your own benifit in case you get in bother, check out www.deben.com they do a very good light it rotates 360 and is controlled from inside the vehicle thats if you can use it here

Make sure your mountable roof light has a good magnetic base.Test it in the shop,if it domes off with you not having to put some strength into getting it off the metalic surface it is too weak...Dont go for the suction type base.THEY ARE CRAP of the highest order!!
1] The mechanism that locks the suction is too weak/badly designed.By rights it should be somthing like a glass suction device glaziers use with a actual pump, not a flip lever.
2] Trying find a surface of your roof ,bonnet that is totally clean is a challange somtimes.Any little bit of dirt will break the suction at the most unhelpful moment.
3]If you can get it,I would recommend the wireless remote. The cables are a major PITA going from your ciggie lighter, out the window to the light.Compound that if you have a CB,Sat nav,and mobile phone charger headset, etc with more cables,it is a nusiance that can be avoided for a few more quid. Not to mind cables can get pinched and limit the range you can move the light to if you are outside the vechicle.

Cammo, if you are breaking any of these rules on cammo,it doesnt matter how expensive your kit is,it will be useless.
Shape,Shilloute[sic],Sound,Shine,Smell. Sound and Smell applies more to ground game than birds, but the other three are vital with ducks or piegons.
