These threads tend to appear so I thouhgt I'd kick off this year's one. What did you guys and gals join this year? Anything tickle your fancy?

I signed up to a good few having been stingy with my money the past few days. :pac: I joined L & H, LawSoc and Arts Soc (mainly for the goody bags ) as well as GameSoc, ComedySoc and the E.L.S.

For sports, I signed up to do archery and also the canoe club.

How about the rest of you?

Yeah that's no problem. Just pop down at the designated time and they'll sign you up. I've done that a few times in previous years.

There'll be literally no problem joining any society or club at any stage during the year - just turn up and talk to a committee member or send them an email.

Can I ask an honest question. Why do people join the big socieities and the union ents (your already a member :rolleyes:) when all the events they run are open to all anyway? It cannot be just for the free stuff as the smaller socieities give away free things aswell.
