    ROUND ONE :

1/ Scott Gammer vs Coleman Barrett
2/ Danny Williams vs Carl Baker
3/ Audrey Harrison vs Scott Belshaw
4/ Michael Sprott vs Danny Hughes

    SEMI FINALS :

    1 VS 2
    3 VS 4

Any thoughts ? i can see a Williams vs Sprott final. Harrison's website is very funny, he sees this as his way back to the big time. He will be knocked out.

Should be entertaining all the same.

I had picked Sprott to win but unfortunately he's pulled out now.
His sister jumped in front of a train recently.......very tragic :(

This competition has suddenly become quite a lot less interesting now aswell.
Danny Williams-Well past his best, his punch resistance isn't there anymore and he seems to have issues with his balance which is effecting him landing with big shots. Power and heart are all he seems to have left.

Audley Harrison- still talented, still has a big punch, but is reluctant to actually throw punches no matter what the opposition and has a real lack of desire.
Capable of being beaten by vastly inferior fighters.

Scott Gammer- retired several years ago, and hasn't got the same hunger or fitness he used to. He wasn't a bad fighter but unless he has regained some enthusiasm in the sport he may even lose to someone like Barrett, who he'd have easily stopped a few years back.

Coleman Barrett-A Cruiserweight who shouldn't be at Heavy, and he's not amazing anyway.

Scott Belshaw- A plodding Heavyweight who's small chance of a successful career went out the window with the knee injury early into his career. He's far too raw and crude.

Carl Baker- If anyone wonders why he's nicknamed 'The Fridge' you shouldn't, he can punch though, but would be outworked by most.

Danny Hughes- Out of shape and awful, genuinely awful !

I don't mean to seem so harsh when talking about professional boxers but the quality in this prizefighter bar the two big names left if far worse than normal.

I think Audley will win. Despite his lack of desire to even throw a punch(you'd think it'd be part of the job of a pro boxer  ), he's got a very easy path to the semi finals. Even Belshaw at his very very best won't trouble Audley in the slightest and Audley should stop him.

Williams will beat Baker, possibly by stoppage.

Gammer I think will be a little more motivated than he has been as he's really on fighting on for money and the fact that you have to do well in this competition(at least make the final) to get decent money will spur him on to do well. Also only having to do 3 rounds at a time will make things easier for him as he'll just have to be up for those 3 rounds at a time. Due to this he should beat Barrett handily enough.

Danny Hughes will lose to however the replacement is........yep he's that bad I can be confident of it without knowing who it is.

So that'd be a rematch of Gammer v Williams, which would be a pick em fight(if Gammer's motivated), and Audley v the replacement.

The favourite never wins prizefighter btw, of course that will eventually change but I'm gonna stick my neck out here and say Gammer will stop Danny and go on to lose the final to Audley(who'll have looked awful in the semi and stunk the place out but still won).

Audley will then proclaim that he's back on track for his goal to win a World title, although he'll subsequently lose his next fight in his career and be back to square won.

I really hope Danny Williams wins though, one of the great characters of British boxing over the last 10 years and I wouldn't like to see him lose his belt(which he will if he loses) in a micky mouse competition.

Good post there, did'nt know about Sprott.

Problem with Audley is he just does'nt do enough work, and over three frantic rounds that will not be good enough.

He said that he will win it and then become world champion. Groan.

Strange he has all the tools but neither the ability nor the mental toughness.

I think Id like to see Williams win the competition. He's a likeable dude with O.K skills.

My prediction is Harrison, I think he's going to blow these guys away. That will be the Q for Fraudley telling everyone he is the new Ali, roll on 3 months and someone like Tye Fields will end the dream AGAIN.

Won't be that big an event in the O2........infact I'm not even sure there's anything on there at all that night.

However, over at the ExCel Arena this prizefighter card should provide some good entertainment.

Problem is even if Audley won would he a) garner enough financial backing and b) would have to fight somebody of decent stature to get in the title picture.

And then its only the two brothers to worry about.

    Impossible in my view.
