    This coming October 22nd sees a very special night down at the Underground.Ten days of DEAF goodness begins with the Irish debut of Underground Quality boss, DJ Jus-Ed.

    Tomorrow night sees one of the current masters of the house sound, DJ Jus-Ed, make his Irish debut @ Lunar Disko as part of DEAF 2009. This night will also be the last Lunar Disko party down at Kennedy's, and after having so many great nights down in the Kennedy's basement, we will be hoping to make this one another party to remember!

    A voyage into the world of DJ Jus-Ed reveals an adventurous, energetic and spiritual style of playing quality house music. Since reappearing on the scene in 2001 after a brief retirement, DJ Jus-Ed's underground house sets have captured and educated audiences all over the US and Europe.

    A somewhat late starter as far as his productions go, Jus-Ed (real name Edward McKeithen) has been in the game for longer than most of you have been present on this planet. Starting his DJ career at the age of ten, he found himself playing 45's at family house parties as an excuse to stay up past his bedtime. After establishing himself as an in-demand DJ in his home town, Ed decided to give up DJing due to a combination of substance abuse and business dealings gone awry. It wasn't until the turn of the millennium that he decided to return to the world of music, after encouragement from Pittsburgh's DJ Vic Money persuaded him to come out of retirement. Together they started to throw parties under the Underground Quality name, and the label was launched a few years later in 2005.

    Whilst the label serves mostly as a vehicle for his own raw house grooves, Ed is also keen to use UQ as a platform for his favourite artists to gain more exposure. Russian deep house producer Anton Zap has made quite a name for himself through Jus-Ed's advocacy, aswell as producer's such as Fred P and Levon Vincent.
