    hi all,

    Girls, I got Mirena coil put in last yr after i had my baby. I was loosing the baby weight fairly quick by myself hormones were back to normal this was before it was put in, i got it put in.... Now in the last say 8 months Iv put up weight constantly bloated feeling, drained no energy no amount of sleep is enough. iv lost my boobs i was always small chested but this is a joke as the months are passin there gettin smaller??? & the mood isn great feelin down in myself, sex is gone out the window completely & its drivin me insane & i would say my fiance is ready to throw me out a window, Is there anyone else out there that has had the same type problems or am i jus loosin myself altogether. Im thinkin bout gettin it out. Im 24 this wk & Iv never felt like this before.

    if there is anyone i would like to hear yer stories...

    If you are not happy go back to your dr.

    Personally I am very happy with my Mirena I.U.S. and am on my second one, so it's been 7 years altogether and I have been loosing weight and haven't had any of the issues you have had. Go back ot the dr and get checked out maybe it just does not agree with you.

    yeah i think i will friends of mine have it in & they have no problems, but you know yourself when you dont feel yourself jus afraid im goin mental! LOL

    Mirena didnt agree with me either, I had it removed. Its like anything. For every 99 people something works for, there will be one it doesnt. You may be unlucky. If it doesnt feel right there is no point in suffering on in silence. Your doc is best placed to hear your problems about it and advise you. I know its a big deal and an inconvienence when you expect something like a coil to be a 'fit and forget' thing. But go and discuss your other options with your doc. :)

    I understand you wanting to start a thread but if you use the search function in the contraceptives thread you will get lots of advice. But as with any medical thing, if you are not happy go and see your doctor or nurse.
