Flue for Oil Boiler

Ok, i'm not sure if this is the right thread - so I apologise in advance if incorrect.

I started off my build thinking I would go the route of a wood gasification boiler (and I said i'd be "smart" and build a chimney in the garage at the cost of about 200 euro compared to 1200 euro cost of the insulated flues that are required for gasification boilers.

anyway as the build has been progressing -I have doubts as to the usability of the boiler and the willingness of my partner to go out and fill the logs and light the fire.

So i think i am back now to using a condensing oil boiler.

The issue i have now is that I have been told that my condensing oil boiler can't use the chimney. it needs to have its own flexi flue kit because of the water vapour issues that it would create.

What i'd like to know now is - is this true? or is he only tryin to sell me something extra?

I'm no expert but afaik you can use a balanced flue straight out the wall. Call the boiler's technical dept for expert answer. He may be right if you want to use your chimney because the exhaust flue gases of condensing boilers is significantly cooler that conventional boiler flue gases.
