Just wondering if anyone has ever seen this?
Checked 365online and saw a maestro transaction on the account.
Is it something to do with the terminal used?

I have noticed once or twice recently, my AIB laser coming up as Maestro on some tills, might be Tesco.

Is the transaction (in your case) genuine ?

    Yes, its genuine.
Just happens to be Tesco aswell.
Maybe they're going up north for their Laser machines;)

To be honest the word laser and its ****ty acceptance abroad should be struck form the annals of history!

Fair play to Tesco educating the masses that they have a Maestro card in their back pocket! Visa debit would be even better, but its only Halifax that offer that no?

Halifax and (apparently) Ulster Bank as of the other day..

Tesco accept Maestro so they probably just process the Maestro part of the card. What did your Tesco receipt say - Laser or Maestro?

Although most of the staff working in Tesco don't realise they accept Maestro (that is, Maestro only cards) - but they actually do.
