2016 100yr anniversary of the Easter Rising. How about a special bank holiday?

i was thinking of starting a campaign to get the government to give an extra bank holiday for the occasion.

what does everyone else think?

Nice idea and that would a great milestone ...but another important thing to consider is the need to be alive to witness it.

But the rising was 24-30 April wasn't it?
