Kid Cudi, Lady Gaga, CASCADA!!????? Black Eyed ****ing Peas!????? Come on man, this isn't the Evolution of anything but seriously crap radio tunes. The Armin van Buuren track is probably the only trance song on there (tiesto can't be classed as trance anymore).

Seriously embaressing tracklist there mate. You really shot yourself in the foot by posting it here.

Calling it the evolution of dance couldnt be a less appropiate title either.

Devolution of taste would have been better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 749 ✭✭✭SteveDon

Is this even a dj mix?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,554 ✭✭✭zonEEE

emmmmmm, maybe evolution of teenage discos or something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 426 ✭✭Fintomiginto

    I've got a better name.

    Devolution of Music

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,607 ✭✭✭VinylJunkie

    It aint "your" album either.

So is it a mix? I'm not downloading that to find out. If it's not, we can use the whole 'illegal material' thingy and get the whole thread deleted. Which would be nice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,607 ✭✭✭VinylJunkie

    Na keep the thread.

A rather bizzarely titled "compilation" i reckon certainly not the evolution of dance, but give the kid a break ffs, im not into those tunes either but there's no need to lambast the bloke he is new and only posted a mix he done, or is it a case of those who " are so cool and down with whatever music is in vogue" or something equally as pathetic:rolleyes:

Wow this hast to be one of the funniest threads here in a long long time! I have tears in my eyes I have laughed at the replies so much...

Op lads around here are fairly harsh, but don't give up mate! Try finding some new music and put a mix together and you'll get a better responce.

    lol though, properl lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,607 ✭✭✭VinylJunkie

Agreed you will be stronger after this!

Ah lads, give him a bit of a chance. His mixing might be savage and its the Dance, Electronic and Djing section, not the Highbrow appreciation society. Everyone has different tastes. Mind you..Cascada:eek:;)

OP, to avoid getting a similar reaction again just post your mix in the members mixes thread. You might get fairer coments. Although you might not either:)

  • Moderators, Motoring & Transport Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 12,781 Mod ✭✭✭✭Zascar

In fairness there are 2 r 3 tracks on there that I have played and liked a lot in the past

But seriously, a bit of cheese can be forgiven, but the likes of Basshunter, Tiesto and Cascada are the devils music.

Do certain people feel an overwhelming sense of "superiority" and think they are "more intelligent" when they lambasted this kid, id expect this from the usual geeks who really need to get out more and maybe get themselves a bird to relieve some of that frustration they have, but i expected more from others!!

End of the day he only made a post, im not into any of those tunes but i didn't deliberately come on and slag the kid to bits!!!

Considering I'm probably one of the usual geeks he is referring to here, I want to ask:

how does getting a bird relieve frustration? What type of bird? Budgerigars are quite expensive nowadays, and I'm pretty sure society frowns upon committing sexual acts upon our feathered friends.
