Don't know if any of you have heard about this 52min documentary, called The Voyage That Shook The World, that looks at the life of Darwin from a Christian viewpoint. You can read a review about it on Movieguide. By all accounts it seems to be a good presented documentary, but you'll just have to see it for yourself to make your own opinion on that.

A public screening of the documentary film are to be shown in the locations below, obviously not popular enough to be shown in cinemas! Don't know how much it costs, but contact numbers are below.

    Saturday 10 October 2009
8.00pm Silver Springs Moran Hotel, in the Harbour Suite, Ph: 024 25964 or 086 1732034
    Tivoli, Cork, County Cork
The Voyage That Shook The World

    Sunday 11 October 2009

"The Voyage That Shook The World" is a standard piece of creationist propaganda produced by CMI, the Australian organization that Ken Ham of AIG split away from some years back, and which subsequently sued AIG in the aussie courts for a range of charges, some of which included allegations of witchcraft and necrophilia.

The producers of the film are also accused of misleading the historians who contributed to the film, unaware that it was creationist propaganda. The historians have issued a statement complaining about how the producers treated them and their contributions.

It's embarrassing that such a piece of rubbish is getting air time in this country, but it is mildly amusing that it's being screened at a hotel named the "Silver Springs Moran".
