    A drumkit in a mini?

Has anyone tried? Google just gets mini drumkit ads. It would definitely influence my decision to buy one or not.

I seriously doubt it. Don't think you'd get the bass drum in nevermind the snare, toms and all the hardware on top of that

I'd say it depends on the size of the kit. You can get a travel kit, something like this
    http://www.pearldrum.com/Products/Drumsets/Rhythm-Traveler.aspx

although depending on your needs, this may not be up to much. I've seen this kit fit into a small car, should be ok in a mini.

If you get a small jazz style kit, you may be in luck.

Hmm, its a 20" kit but theyre very deep. No luck I think, thanks peoples.

Are you kidding. The answer is most defo no. Sure I could not even get a bass guitar in a hard case into it with letting down the front passenger seat. So you'd be nuts to get one.

Also you'd ruin it by pulling the gear in and out!

Is it the new model mini ?
If its the old one forget it & be prepared to push it to gigs

I would say yes - IF the backseats fold flat. The new Mini isnt actually that small, but lack of back doors would make it harder to get gear in and out.

I can get my full kit and hardware into a 3 door Focus. There wouldnt be a huge difference in size between the too.

I'd imagine it's doable if you removed one skin from each drum to place them inside each other (i.e. mounted tom inside floor tom inside bass drum depending on each drum size).

Ok, Its is not practicle to try this. Beleive me your wasting your time. A Focus is much bigger and would be on par with a BMW 116 for size, the mini is smaller again.

Depends on what kit your using, any of the below might just fit in:

Sonar Jungle, Taye GoKit, Pearl Traveller or Pearl Target.

There is the option of getting an electronic kit. If you were at the RDS show last year you would have seen the Mini with the Traps kit in the back of it.

I love those 18" Pearl Targets, they sound great for the size. Mine is a white vision 20" ~pic~ .

I've decided to keep with my Starlet for handiness sake, hatchback and folding back seats n all. Plus you can fit a 4x10" bass combo in the boot although I wouldve been willing to downgrade that.

I'm still going to try fitting one though for sheer curiosity :D
