So, of my ten euro 60% goes to you and 40% goes into the prizepool? Am I reading that right?

Also, who exactly is "Head office in Dublin"?

No 40% goes to the player, 40% goes to tournament director and 20% goes to administation in dublin for the big game at the end of the 12 weeks for the 65,000 euro game but the prizepool will be way more they recone about 150,000 euro... that more clearer???

    A little.

    2 things:

Firstly, I'd read the forum charter about how to post about events cause you haven't followed it and you're likely to get this thread locked and/or deleted.

Secondly, who exactly is "administration in Dublin". How many other games are going on to pay into this "big game" and how exactly are you intending on raising 65,000 minimum on a €2 charge per player per tournament in 12 weeks?

At 100 players per week for 12 weeks that would be €2,400. At 2 tournies per week you would make €4,800. If you are getting that number I'd be impressed but I took a large number of players to illustrate my point. Where, exactly, is this €65,000 coming from?

The pubs put in 50 euro each night that they hold a game, over the 12 weeks... Theres over 200 pubs all over ireland doing this and im doing it over cavan and monaghan...

The E2 goes up to dublin as part of a admission fee.. All the pubs are doing this..

What do u mean that i havent posted properly?? what am i ment to do?? :D

    Read this thread:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=227377

and post according to the rules inside it.

And I ask one more time. Who exactly is the administrative body at the centre of this? Where is the money going to in Dublin?

Here is a good example of how to format your adverts about your tournie:

    1. Who is running the event (poker in the pub)

Hey just wanted to check this.

Poker in the Pub is an English company backed by Paddy Power who run tournaments in venues in England only (see here).

Unless that has changed or the company running this uses the same name as a registered company in England (and I can't find any other company in Ireland called "Poker in the Pub") then something seems amiss with this to me.

So I ask once more. Who exactly are the administrators of this whole thing?

Who is Michael Smith when he is at home? If there is €65,000 to €100,000+ as you claim being collected I assume he has started a company. What's it called?

This is Poker in the Pub in Ireland. Didn't see it first time round, sorry.

It just seems really badly organised to be honest with you. It all smelled a bit fishy to me at the start but I see in their announcements that this poker league is starting with figures similar to yours.

Good luck with it so but, and this is genuinely friendly advice, I'd learn a bit more about what you are involved in given the amount of money involved.

Easy big guy, I've been chatting to the organisers who, in my opinion, were very very good in addressing my questions when put to them and have PM'd lady maverick to apologise if I seemed over confrontational.

Hmmm...over confrontational...you have any tips for me Damo:D
