Can anyone recommend anyone in Dublin for a giutar set-up? I tried to adjust the intonation on my Gretsch and I now realise that I did not have a clue as to what I was doing as now it sounds terrible, especially at the higher frets. Have a gig coming up soon and would like it to sound like it used to...

I'd recommend John Moriarty in Clonskeagh. PM me for his number. He looked after my Gretsch.

You could try doing it yourself. Here is a detailed link on the subject. It's for bass, but the idea is the same.

You should be able to do it yourself, it's really quite easy once you get the hang of it. This is moose off dffd btw.

I *should* be able to do it but as I said, when I tried I ended up making a big mess of it. I hate that kind of stuff.
