In college now, and got a broadband and tv pack from NTL. We have two houses next door to one another but the tv feed is only going to one house. Is is possible to get another NTL box and a double adapter and bring a lead off the original box and bring it next door? any help is welcome!

You need to post this in cable, this is the satellite forum

Desktop PC Boards discount code on https://www.satellite.ie/ is boards.ie

    Moved to cable forum.

This sounds an awful lot like piracy and theft of service which is a criminal offense.

You'll need to call Chorus (UPC) and get them to install a cable to the second house and the second house will need to get it's own TV and BB subscription.

well seeing as its the same people paying the bill its really makes no difference. well if it was from one end of the same house to the other what is the story? Thanks for the ethical stuff too...

It's because you said you have two houses.

In order to have another box you will need to ring UPC who will do all the work for you, however Id imagine as its a different address then its likely you would have to pay full price for it....instead of the €8.50 multiroom offer...however ring em up to be sure....

g-whizz are you going to have two separate, full accounts, for each house?

Or are you going to have one account with mutliroom?

If it is the former, then fair enough.

If it is the latter, then you are breaking UPC's terms and conditions, therefore stealing cable and breaking the law (it is actual theft).

You would also be breaking the rules of this forum for discussing it and I'd have to ban you and delete this thread:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055191530

This is all as much for your own protection, as you are not really anonymous here and a court order could be gotten to find out who you are.

The only reason I haven't deleted this thread yet is because it isn't 100% clear your intentions. So for the time being I'm going to lock it. PM me what exactly you are trying to do and I may re-open this thread.
