Does anyone have any info, particularly a route map, for the above run which takes place on Sunday 27th September? Can't find anything online. I just did the 10k in Waterford City on Sunday and would be hoping for something a bit flatter!

I was just about to post the exact same :D

There's no info on their site. I've registered for it online, so I'm hoping it will be a flat enough route.

I've just registered for it too. I don't know Dungarvan all that well so I hope it's well marked out!

I'm the same, it's the only thing that's really worrying me, not knowing the area!!

I would imagine it'll be pretty flat. You have to go out of your way to find hills in Dungarvan, unlike Waterford where you have to go out of your way to avoid them.

If they use the same route as the Dungarvan 10k then it's very flat.

Thanks for that, it's reasurring :) Can you describe that 10k route, if you don't mind?

    It's mapped here.

Chances are it won't be the same route.

I'm not sure if you know Dungarvan but it starts and finishes outside Microchem on the ring road, goes out the "bog road", there's a sharp downhill to the canal, along the canal road onto the main Cork road. There's a pull there for a km or so and then it goes downhill again to the finish.

Thanks a mill for that!! I don't know Dungarvan well, only the outskirts, that take you to Cork :D

This run is leaving from the Park Hotel, so it's not the same as the one you described. Ah well, it can't be any worse than the Waterford one last week!!

Thanks again for your help :)
