HCAP RANGE TEST 26th SEPT and NO GUN

    Hey,

    just passed the Hcap MCQ and the range test is on the above date.
    Have not got a gun of high enough calibre to do the test, any advice/help?

    I passed as well. The test wasn't easy at all.

    As for a gun, have you a friend doing the test as well you may be able to shoot their's on the day.;)

    cheers , that was the plan but they are now currently not available.
    so trying to look for another avenue.....

    yes it had some, lets say, very interesting questions on it! The exam setter has some way with words. but glad to have taken the exam, learned a lot and would recommend it highly.

    would the HCAP be not worth the paper its written on if coillte gave forests licenses to a none HCAP holders ,im not talking about nominated stalker.

    or in the words of coillte we can except any tender as we see fit.

    so basically the points system they use in not worth the paper its written on or is the HCAP.

    some may have an issue about the hcap, but as a new person to the deer hunting game i found it valuble! I have no intention of hunting in collte forests. All advice on OP is requested.

    Perhaps your correct in this assumption BUT we do not live in a perfect world and at present anybody who whishes to hunt on Coillte land will have to have the HCAP done next year.

    At present I don't have the time to go around farmers land to ask if they need deer culling on their lands so my only option is to get the HCAP to hunt.

    thanks, will do only managed to get phone number/website on boards this eve. very little info on it. calling them tomorrow to see what the craic is...
