Fifa 09 ps2 - keeps stalling!! :( Please Help

    Hey,
    I bought this game ages ago and it worked for the first month or so.
    One of the best games I have played.:D
    Then it stalled mid game. I reset it and it kept happening.:(
    I was so frustrated(:mad:) I bought another FIFA 09.
    :eek:That stalled too!:eek:


    All my other games work without problems.:confused:

    Any ideas of why? Do I need a new ps2 or can i simply clean or replace something.

    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.:o

    Update: Cant even get as far as a match in either cd now. Stalls once match load bar completed.

    Im afraid buy the new Fifa now.

    Could it be a lens problem?

    Is the disc in any way scratched? It could be that your PS2 is dodgy but if you say everything else works that's probably not it.

    Also at this stage it's not worth buying a new one. Get a PS3 if it's a worst-case scenario!

    I dont know if this will help but my friend had the same problem with the xbox 360 i think it had something to do with squads he had downloaded or something?i recommend if at all possible to delete all saved data on your memory card to do with FIFA and see what happens?Its worth a try maybe?

    Thanks but I doubt i'll be buying a ps3 for quite some time. Id def buy a slim one tho even if it was 50 euro more expensive. Do you think they'll drop any more in price before next summer?

    I tried deleting already. No luck.

    I wonder if FIFA demands more than my other games and now my ps2 cant deal with it or something.

    I could buy another ps2.........

    I thought that before and most of my friends are xbox/ps3/nothing ppl.
    But i forgot that one of my best friends has one. duh.
