Rwanda travel visa -help!

I'm travelling to Rwanda in a couple of months and am getting conflicting information on how to secure a visa. UK passport holders don't need a visa but Irish passport holders do. Lonely Planet says I can get a visa at the arrival point in the country (Kigali airport for me), while Trailfinders advise I need to arrange a prior visa, and this can only be done at the Rwanda Embassy in London (Rwanda not having an Embassy in Ireland).

Has anybody (well, Irish passport holders) been through Rwanda recently and can pass on their experience and knowledge? Thanks!

    hi there

Was in Rwanda a few years back and arrived in Kigali airport and got visa on arrival, no hassle. Kigali is a nice city, make sure and arrange to go and see the mountain gorillas, unreal experience,
