Power windows and sun roof stopped working today on a 1990 Carina II i was doing a little work on.
I think its the fuse, as i closing two windows at the same time when they both stopped.

None of the windows will now work, neither will the sunroof. I presume its the fuse.

Can anyone tell me where this fuse is located ?
I've looked at the fuse panel by the drivers side (near accelerator) but they all look fine?

If my mind isnt playing tricks on me, I seem to remember that the later model Carina e had a reset button for overload of the window system. Maybe your model has the same thing.

it was in the passanger footwell
you'll need to remove the pastic panel with a philips screwdriver and it will be in at the very back.
can be a bot of a b4stard to reach, especially if there is any corrosion from water

    no pic,
sorry but that car is well gone from me.

its an cylinder type thing that plugs in like a fuse, but is a lot bigger than a fuse.

it should be above the fuses to the right if memory serves me right, and is grey in color

the fuse box is on the passanger side behind the kick panel

I would be of the opinion that the part pa990 means is a relay as oppossed to a circuit breaker
