    Guys,
    Just wondering is it good practise to coat the lead with patternation oil i think it is?excuse the spelling if it is!i hear it prevents the runoff from the lead..or does anyone recommend anything else!?

    Yes, patination oil is a good idea, but the important thing is to oil the lead on the day you install it, because even one day without the oil will mark your slates.
    Don't let your roofer tell you he'll oil the lead when he's finished....
