Cleaning a gun

Ok...you have been out on a skirmish...its pee'd down all day and your gun is unrecognizable from the muck. so you give it a wash down, wipe all parts, let it dry out and then give it the once over with the tooth brush;)...still with me? what can you use to give it the final wipe down that will bring the gun back to life so to speak....cause sometimes after all the treatment the gun can still look dirty if ya catch my drift....is it silicone oil?

Are you on about cleaning internals, or just externals? For externals just factor in what the parts are made of (i.e. abs or metal) and clean 'em accordingly. There are loads of products you can use for the specific material which will restore it's lusture.

Only thing I know about cleaning internals is how to clean the inner barrel, and that's just using the cleaning rod with non-linting tissue to remove any debree/oil etc

If the outside is that dirty id say its a safe bet the barrel is too, clean that out with a cleaning rod, some J cloth and a drop of silicone oil. as for the body of the gun, i usually wipe mine down with some WD40 on a cloth.
