General Orientation

My General Orientation meeting is on the 23rd, the same day as my debs! Since the debs is a far way off (not even sure of the exact location), I've to be done up and at my old school for 5 in the day! I thought if I just skipped the reception in my school Id have enough time to go to the meeting and then get to debs after but it's just not going to be possible so I'll have to miss one or the other.

So could anyone tell me what the general orientation meeting is about and if its important? I guess if the meeting isn't too course specific there must be other ones for other courses that I could sit in on instead, no?

If it's just the general orientation meeting and not the course specific meeting, then you can just sit in on any of them... they don't ask what course you're doing, presumably they just assign courses to certain times just so they know there's enough seats for everyone.

Its science TR071, and it's the general orientation, not the course meeting.

I'm seeing my tutor on tuesday, would I be able to sort it out with him? If so would that be too late???

By the way, I'm already aware I worry too much so please just humour me and my anxiety :)

I wouldn't worry about missing it. It's just a "Hi, welcome to college" type thing. You might miss out on the opportunity to meet some of you class mates but you will have a better chance of meeting them at the course meeting. From what i remember in first year a lot of people skipped this meeting and some even skipped the course meeting.

    Snap!

And for the sake of on topicness if its just the general orientation and not the course specific meeting - I think you'd be safe just going to another meeting at a time that suits you, it will be the same thing afterall.
