im in a catch 22 situation, and always have when looking for a good job, i have the certificates and the education and everything, but i have no experience in proper jobs other than a fast food place which isnt mcds so its crap! but in order to get a good job i need the experience but i cant get the job for experience!! grrrrrrr! any suggestions!:)

Have you tried contacting companies and offering to work a week or two for free just to get some work experience?? A friend of mine did this and got a job out of it. She used to work at an equine centre but got sick of it and wanted to change careers. she did a couple of accounts courses but didn't feel comfortable going to interviews for account jobs with just the course on her CV so she tried this and the second place she did work experience for offered her a job.

If they take you up on your offer and like your work, they might decide to give you a job (like they did my friend). But if they don't, its still something you can add to your CV that might help you to eventually get a job.

I was alway's told its not what you know its who you know....
Great so four year's in college and cant get a job. All i had to do in the first place was make friend's with the right person. Ffs

Ok sound's like your looking for a an answer not just a piss-take. Try over on work and job's under biz. Coming up to christmas there should be a pick-up in the hotel industry. I was once offered a trainee managemet job in a hotel with no experience and no qualification's. I turned it down as it was october and would be working an unset amount of hours per week and who have lived in the place over christmas.
