Applied to a PLC course in CSN cork to do music management and sound, got the course but now my parents have bailed on sorting me out with rent money up in cork so im now stuck with the probability that I cant afford to go do the course.

Dropped out of UL last year(in first year) and applied for the dole straight away but got rejected cause "i was still in education", also under 21(20) so i have no hope of getting the back to education allowance.

Just wondering is there ANYTHING out there that I could apply to for state assistance? My dads retired and my moms a nurse whos getting her paycheck ripped on by the government pension levy so I cant borrow money of the folks. I cant get a job in my town either, its 30% unemployment in Tralee at the moment. And the banks wont give me a loan without having a steady source of income.

I think im screwed but i said id see for other peoples opinions here.

I think pretty much everything goes through either your local county council or social welfare office. Your best bet would be to ring both of those and they should be able to tell you.
