    hey there,

i have a samsung NC10, and the up,down, right arrow keys are not working. when i try to use the function key to change the screen brightness etc, i can change other settings with the function button so it's not the function key.

    anyone have any ideas ?
    cheers

Have you got the easy keyboard thing working?

IIRC go start>All programs>Samsung>Easy Keyboard Manager(could be something different!!) and then run it,Wait 10-15 secs and try again?

Do the keys work on the virtual keyboard?

When you turn on the laptop, Press F12 or DEL (or which ever key you are prompted with) at the start up to go into the SETUP (BIOS). When in there, if the keys don't work it's a problem with the keys or keyboard and not the Operating System or software etc.

You can use a blunt flat object (eg Philips head screw-driver) to get under and remove the individual arrow keys... check for dirt etc. They clip on easily enough too. It's most likely the keyboard though, which you can get replaced - for free if it's under warranty :)

Mine does that sometimes, I'm pretty sure it's a software issue.
