the review is out for this game and its very surprisingly looking a pretty decent racer after NFS:Undercover being an epic fail!

    here's the IGN review:

Really looking forward to this game.
The pedigree of the developer is well known in PC sim circles after they developed GT Legends & GTR2 and this seems to be a great sim racing game that is still accessible to beginners.

I'm totally put off the NFS franchise at the moment. I was given NFS: Undercover to review and was a terrible game.

I think the only NFS game i actually really enjoyed was on the 3DO :p. But this looks brillliant, will have to get my hands on it, should occupy me until GT5 comes along.

It's going back to what NFS Prostreet was, which was terrible imo. I also disliked NFS Undercover.

The series has gone backwards since the pinnacle of Most Wanted which is so far the best NFS game

That's weird... For some reason I had the idea that this was being developed by Criterion in my head...
Will still end up getting this, but think I'll wait for the inevitable price drop now(NFS games can always be found cheap as chips second hand shortly after release)

    /edit
I see Criterion are working on another sequel for next year, must be where I got so mixed up...

Shame is that most of Need for speed fans, liked the franchise because of the slick car chases (Hot pursuit), doing up cars, open world (Underground & most wanted).

EA should of done an updated version of one of Most Wanted, with a map editor and more features instead of going down the generic route.

Just because they own Burnout also., doesn't mean that Need for Speed has to change its market
