In fairness, Fowler was -1 for 12 holes and won 7&6,so saying he's a great player because of that is not really very accurate as Kearney was -1 for 17 holes and was beaten, the difference being that Hutsby was +6 against Fowler and Cauley was -2 against Kearney. Also Hodgson had a very good turnaround in his match, +5 and 2 down after 9, 4 under on the back 9 to win 2&1

I am saying he's a great player because he has proven that over the last few years:confused:

And anyways, in match play , how far under par doesn't really matter once you are winning the holes. I know that if my opponent hit one out of bounds on a dangerous par 4 i'd probably take the 3 wood or an iron out.

He has been the number one amateur longer than anyone else in history(I know it's a short history) plus he has a cool swing:cool:

They've had some real quality in their last two teams, Simpson, johnson , fowler and lovemark are names you will see alot of.

On the European front besides Mcilroy Danny Willett and Sam Hutsby have impressed me too.
