Laptops Under €500

    Hi I am helping out a friend who is looking for a laptop under 500euro preferably nearer to 400euro

    He is in his first year of college , intended use would be for some projects ,but not to big , Internet use , not gamer and also for playing dvds .

    Mobiliy is not important , preferably not too small

    There's alot of machines on there today and they are going for a good price,The inspiron 1545's are good machine and as long as you get atleast 2gb of ram and atleast a 160GB hard disk there should be no problem for the thing's he'd like to do,Just to show you a few good machines on there:

    Don't forget to include VAT on the Dell Outlet prices. (21.5%). And also shipping. The regular Dell store often has 'free shipping' offers, but the outlet rarely does.

    By the time you add them on, its not always the great bargain it seems. So just be sure to do a like-with-like comparison before ordering.

    +1, it's often not as good a deal as it sounds, i've seen outlet machines that are more expensive when you add on the delivery and VAT than the brand new machine. There are good deals to be had, but you just have to do your homework.
