People of Boards my 3rd old niece is driving me mad and wants Penguin Teddy Bear, i dont know where she got the idea from but i thought this would be easy to get but guess what its NOT. I tried Smyths and they have one alright but it was about 3ft, she's 3years old so something generally small.

Mod's sorry if this is the wrong but i did search the form.

    Sure thing.

They're lovely things though, just a bit hard to catch.

Get her the 3ft one, she'll love it if its big enough to be a real penguin. Of course, you might prompt a crazy 'imaginary friend' episode.

    Fun!

Get her the three foot one, what's wrong with you? She'll love it. She'll probably think it's another member of the family.

Now, I'm going to go google penguin teddy bear so I know what the hell is going on.

Have you tried the Imaginarium? I'm sure they've got a savvy looking one knocking around somewhere.

But I'd still say your best bet would be the Zoo.

You can never have enough penguins :o

Wait a few weeks - if past presents from my friends and family are anything to go by, I can safely guarantee the shops will have loads coming up to Christmas.

Otherwise, try card shops that sell cuddly toys.

Good idea, i'll try Blanchardstown over the weekend and maybe even the Pavillions.

I blame you for me posting this by the way, i saw your thread on Uggs and thought good idea.

I tried for Uggs in Las Vegas twice and failed both times but then again i am a man and wasn't exactly trying hard.

OP, maybe you can just say no?

Otherwise you're being held to ransom by a three year old!

I know its not a teddy but it is a penguin and you could program it to sing gentle lullabies to your niece, with the soothing voice and glow in the dark eyes she will be terrified love it :)

Or if she does something bold you can send messages to it when she is asleep and they will be read out to her, you can pretend to be god or a ghost or just an toy friend, like chucky (or you could set it up so we could send messages to her, mwah ha ha)
