Hi all, I just received notice today of a cmpany who have not received payment for a service. No big deal, but the problem was i paid them and the cheque cashed almost 6 months ago.

Obviously my plan is to go into the bank today to try and sort it out, but what are my options? Will the bank even tell me who cashed my cheque? Will they be able to refund the cheque if it fell into wrong hands? If the cheque wasn't crossed do i have any recourse?

    Thanks for any replies.

    Ask the bank to do

    A) provide a copy of the chq
    B) put a trace on the chq to see where it was lodged

If it was cashed there should be details on the back of the chq
