Turbo Rebuild??

Well folks, am looking at a tractor at the moment that is burning oil, there is 8100 hours, I have compression tested the engine and it looks very good, I am a little suspicious of the turbo, it works fine and there is plently of power, but at this hours the turbo has alot of spinning done at this stage, smoke only appears…

I am planning to check the wear in the turbo with a dial indicator,

What is the best,

Rebuild the turbo or buy new??
