    What he said!!

Ryanair no longer accept driving licenses. All flights have to be checked in online and you're only asked for your passport details or national identity card details (with only ones from selected countries being accepted).

I would double check that info as I seem to remember reading it was October 09 before they were introducing the passport only rule on flights to Uk.

You can fly to London with Aer Lingus using your driving licence.

Citizens of Ireland and the UK under the age of 16, do not need a photo ID, if travelling with their parent/guardian.

Citizens of countries other than Ireland and the UK must produce a valid passport and visa where applicable, for travel between Ireland and the United Kingdom.

As others have said Ryanair are passport only, (even for internal ROI flights) they used to accept driving licences for internal flights before until they scrapped all the check in desks but not anymore now. Link
